Full Plates Full Potential recently held a press conference with the USDA to announce our $8.5 million grant awardees, all of whom are working to get more local foods and ingredients into Maine school meals. We taped all of this with the PMC field equipment
On October 16, 2024, the USDA and Full Plates held a press conference at Connors Elementary in Lewiston, ME, to introduce the grantees who were each awarded a portion of the $8.5 million School Food System Innovation Grant. Grantees, which included Maine Food Convergence, Auburn Public Schools, Five Pillars Butchery, Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association, Peak Season, Maine Health Let’s Go! 5210, and Maine Farm and Sea to School Network, were each there to discuss their projects in detail. Other grantees include Regional School Unit 54, and The Good Crust.
